Become a Certified Career Development Practitioner

The Certification Working group was formed in 2016 to assess certification models across Canada and to create a model for certification in PEI. The mandate for this working group is:
  • To assess provincial certification models across Canada.
  • To develop a certification model that is in alignment with the national career development model.
  • To provide a voice for all CDPs in PEI regarding certification and professional designation.
  • Providing a service to CDA members where the majority has expressed interest in developing a draft model for certification that is inclusive, consistent and represents the highest standard of service and knowledge, quality assurance for employers, stakeholders and the public.
  • To align the CDA of PEI with growing market trends toward developing a certification model.

The purpose of this Certification is to ensure all practitioners who obtain certification work within the highest standard of professional service.

The Certification will elevate the Career Development profession, provide professional development for practitioners and promote ethical practices in our field.
